She is a tall suri female , 45 at withers. I purchased her dam in Canada bred to the suri male “Peruvian Silverado Sir”. With her sire being silver and her dam being grey, she is producing crias with tones of silver/grey . Her last cria was a silver suri sired by Silver Moon Mercury Rising. Look at her fall 2011 cria below and you can see what she can produce. I plan to keep one of the girls from these three generations but allowing you to choose which one will work best into your program.

Coco has flashy color and good structure. She is the friendliest of the group of crias this fall. Part of this is genetic as her mom gets jealous of attention provided to Coco and wants to be petted too. Coco’s mom “Splash” has fiber that spinners love. Splash was a show girl and is structurely very correct with a lot of substance which is why I purchased her to be bred to suri. Coco is not suri and either are her parents but her sire “Tillman’s War Admiral” is out of suri lines, ” HCLA Bolivian Over Exposed”. Admiral was cured as a suri but it is questionable if he really was suri. Admiral was the male cria that was at side of the high selling female at the Tillman’s dispersal sale at Indianapolis.

I really do not want to sell this girl but she is co owned with Calypso LLama Farm and Kim is no longer breeding and wants the llamas sold. Cassini was a LFA Futurity Champion and a top placing female at the Celebrity. This suri gal is 45 1/2 height and I bet it would be difficult finding a suri girl that can match her. She is stretchy with a long neck and out standing ears. Her current silky cria is outstanding and can be viewed on my cria page “Enchanting lady”.

This cria is a blue grey suri gal. Her dam is a half sister to Infra Red owned by Steve Rolfing. Treasure’s dam Heartland was shown in Canada placing at the top of her class. She was to be shown in the states at the futurities but due to the Canadian border closing she remained stuck in Canada for over 1 year. She came to the states as a bred female and therefore never had the opportunity to be shown. Heartland is a 350 lb suri female with an amazing flow of a walk.

Born fall of 2011 he is the one I have been hoping for. He is a silky guy with substance and a very upright attitude. His dam is a 46 in tall gal dressed in multi silver color. When chromium was shown he caught the eye of many and was the llama that brought the current partnership with The Colorfield on many of our co owned llamas. It was overwelming! 250 llamas! Most of which there were no pictures prior to the sale to view. There was no specific order of the lots at the sale which made it challenging to find specific animals. Prior to the sale, Barb was very quick to answer any questions about the lots and send any pictures she had in her records. She sent out birthing history as most of the 2009 and 2010 crias were not registered. I think most everyone at the sale went home with more llamas than they had plannned. Most of my favorite suri males were out of Silver Lining but since my llama partner Lisa Alayza and I co own ” Peruvian QuickSilver” a full brother to that male, we did not bring home any of those boys. We did bring home a 2 year old suri San Juan male. Lisa and I bought 7 females , 3 of which are suri and the other 4 are tall stretchy girls.

This suri guy is awesome! He has excellent wool cover, presence , excellent confirmation, substance, bone, and the most extreme ears of any llama on my farm. His dam Rebano Escondido Quisas, co owned with Lisa Alayza, was the best producing female on either of our farms. His sire, Ticca’s Putting On The Ritz, is an extreme suri appy male. Both Quisas and Ritz are now owned by Roxywood Farm so we may see a repeat of this outstanding male in the future.

It did not take much for Krista to be addicted. At first she wanted one llama but knew she had to have 2 so the first one would have a buddy. Then she learned she needed a third so that when she took one out of the pen the other would have a buddy and not try to go over the fence. Krista wanted small so she purchased Flash and Happy. She took them home only to bring them back to be bred. Then Krista bought another girl but at this time size was not an issue and she bought Karlie. Spring came around and unfortuately Happy was open. But Krista was out of town when she got the call from her husband , Flash had her baby. And WOW she is gorgous. A red head, wonderful silky suri fiber. Krista could hardly get home soon enough to see her new baby. What a doll!

Christian and Ellisia

Sonja had recently purchase several llamas. She later had found Caru Ellisia on line and fell in love with her. She did not contact me until almost a year after first seeing her. She made the decision to purchase her as a bred female. She came with her son to the Celebration Futurity show to pick up Ellisia. Ellisia shared a stall with a couple of my other llamas and when Sonja tried to take her out of the stall, Elissia did not want to go forward. But when her son attempted to lead her she willingly and excitedly went along side with him. They continued to go out side to walk and run together . They were a pair. Elissia was shown as a juvenille in the halter class a couple of time. But Sonja’s son,Christian thought he would enjoy showing her in performance. Ellisia is 6 years old and never had any work with obstacles. This team did very well at the show with neither of them having any prior experience in performance classes. It was the Jelly Bean show. If you complete the obstacle course you get jelly beans. Christian has developed an exceptional relationship with his llama as he brought home the candy with Ellisia!

Many people ask “What do you do with llamas?” I reply, they are companion animals for pets, therapy animals, pack animals, guard animals, fiber animals, show animals and last but not least they can be trained to pull a cart. Rob Russell from Missouri bought his first 2 llamas, a male and a female from Caru LLamas. He was a novice and took upon himself to purchase a harness and cart from E-Bay. His girl Bobo was a natural and without any prior experience he taught her to drive. How impressive! His family has developed an attachment of llamas and I will be looking forward to more pictures and hopefully some crias in the future.

Nova has been keured as a suri llama. Her show records includes top 5 in the Celebrity furturity out of a class of more than 30 llamas. She was top 10 at the LFA. Enzo is a heavy wool male out of Espiritu, a Celebrity Reserve Grand Champion and ALSA National top 5. There are very few offspring out of Espiritu as he was deceased at a very young age. Enzo qualified for the nationals and has only been used as a stud for a couple of breedings, one of which is due next fall. The cria that is on the ground has outstanding silky fiber with excellent coverage. Enzo has good coverage and a smooth floating walk.

Rythem was shown only once at 6 months of age but she did quite well placing top 10 in the LFA futurity show. She has extreme suri fiber and being an appy is icing on the cake. Her sire WSL Peruvian Quicksilver, a suri silver male, is out of Peruvian Vice whose dam is an appy. She is easy to handle and a pleasure to own. Rythem is curently bred to Chromium for a fall 2011 cria. Chromium is a tall heavy wool silver male with fiber that goes down to his toes. Chromium received a Grand Champion in ALSA which took him to the Nationals. Two years in row Chromium went to the Nationals and even though he did not place at the Nationals, he did receive one 1st place from a judge. Chromium X Rythem should prove to be an exciting blend of types!

Canadian Full Import Peruvian Suri

Nirvana was stuck in Canada during the border closure. She was not shown in Canada because of losing the tip of her ear to frost bite. Her sire is deceased, so there are very few Greystone offspring. Nirvana, as an adult, still has plenty of bangs and leg wool which is uncommon in suri llamas. With her sire being grey and her rare genes, Nirvana’s crias will be valuable to all suri programs.
