Caru Llamas is the home of approximately 50 llamas.  I have carefully selected stock with attributes that would compliment my breeding program to create my vision of a “llama of beauty”.  I have a special interest in developing a prepotent line of silver/grey llamas.  To achieve my goal, I have carefully selected three silver herd sires:  Halter Champion “SRLL Mandragoran “, LFA Best In Show  ”GNLC Rampart”, an extreme silky,  ”4 L & M The Graduate , a suri, and a multi-color paint.   FPL D’Artagnan who is out of a tall silver male, Future  junior silver herd sires “Caru Something To Talk About and Caru Steel The Moment will bring in another ingredient to my herd.  Reference males which are now deceased are halter champion  ” El Fuego” and my first silver male “Chromium”. I also have incorporated many import animals into my herd  to keep the genetics from my farm unique and uncommon to many of the other farms in the country.

Caru Llamas takes pride in the friendliness of the llamas raised on the farm.  Llamas with good dispositions are critical for easy handling, caring for, and having fun with.  I am professionally a Developmental Therapist specializing in behavioral management in infants and toddlers.   A part of my crias training is to go hiking in the woods where they learn to go on bridges and other obstacles to master.  Having a behavioral background and years of experience training and showing horses and cats, I have been able to use that knowledge to benefit raising llamas.

My farm is conveniently located in the  central midwest – in  Southern, Illinois, one hour north of Paducah, Kentucky.  Please feel free to browse my website to see the animals I have selected for my herd and to also view my sales list.   If you have any inquiries or question, don’t hesitate to contact me.
